Assesment - cumulative records

Image
A cumulative record is a long-term file that keeps all important information about a student from the time they enter a school until they leave. It includes academic performance, personal data, social behavior, psychological details, health information, and extracurricular achievements. These records help teachers and schools understand a student’s overall growth and progress, not just their marks. In simple terms, it is like a student’s lifelong school folder that stores report cards, health notes, achievements, and behavior reports in one place.

Psychology - Developmental task

A developmental task is a skill or behavior that a person needs to learn at a specific stage of life. These tasks act like milestones that help individuals grow, adjust, and succeed in life. The concept of developmental tasks was introduced by Robert J. Havighurst in 1950. He explained that completing these age-related tasks—from infancy to adolescence—helps a person lead a successful and well-adjusted life. According to Havighurst, developmental tasks come from three main sources: Physical growth – natural changes in the body that require new skills (e.g., walking, talking). Social expectations – what society expects at each age (e.g., starting school, making friends). Personal goals – individual desires and ambitions that motivate learning (e.g., choosing hobbies or careers).
